Kia ora,

My journey as a Massage Therapist began over 15 years ago, first sparked from my love of receiving massage as a client.  In 2000, after attending my first massage training course I discovered that massage was the perfect fit for me.

I have worked with a broad spectrum of clients and believe that massage therapy has so many wonderful benefits for people of all ages, from supporting children to relax and develop positive body awareness, to helping adults with chronic pain, stress relief and to simply relax.

My background in remedial and therapeutic focused massage has enabled me to work alongside other health professionals in a multidisciplinary Osteopathic Clinic and Physiotherapy Clinic in Wellington for several years.  Other contract and onsite work has included the Royal NZ Ballet Company, Hurricanes Rugby team, and several renowned spa & health clubs.

My primary focus in myofascial release therapy and therapeutic massage is to improve health and wellness, reduce pain, and to help relieve stress.  Working holistically, I look to ensure that you can unwind, relax and connect, even when receiving effective deep tissue treatments.

Inspired by several clients and family members experiencing and dealing with cancer, I undertook specialisied training in Oncology Massage; Massage Therapy for people with cancer.  I have recently completed the Certificate in Oncology Massage to level 2 with Oncology Massage Ltd Australia and now offer this service as one of the treatments available at Te Manawa Massage Therapy. 

I'm very conscious about the skin being our largest organ in the body which is why I work with high quality organic oils and natural products.  My love of beautiful oils has lead me to develop hand blended organic facial oils that are used in the Organic Holistic Facials also offered at Te Manawa.
